The English curriculum at Nimbus Institute for Class 9 and 10 is based on the CBSE Secondary, curriculum. The Secondary Social Studies Department delivers a high-quality history education which will help students gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of India's past and that of the wider world. The intention is to inspire students’ curiosity to know more about the past. Students are encouraged to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, and develop perspective and judgement. History helps students to understand the complexity of people's lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as thelr own identity and the challenges of their time.

CBSE Class 9 Examination forms a sound basis for future Classes. That's why students are advised to pe well prepared to take the exams so as to score optimum. Changed CBSE Class 9 Assessment Scheme

Shutting down the Dual Assessment Scheme, CBSE has brought a significant change in the Assessment Scheme to be followed in Class 9 current academic session, i.e., 2017-2018 onwards. The assessment, examination and report card patterns for class 9 students will be similar to that of class 10 Board students.

According to which the CBSE Class 9 report card will have scores of a single yearly term comprising aperiodic test, notebook, subject enrichment and annual examination. The co-scholastic grading will be on a five-point grading scale.

CBSE Class 9 Exam Pattern

Find below the details of CBSE Class 10 New Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme:
  • 1. 80 Marks Annual Examination:
  • - Schools will conduct Class-IX Examination for 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject of Class-IX only.
  • - Student has to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject.
  • - Marks and Grades both will be awarded for Individual subjects.
  • -9-point grading will be same as followed by the Board in Class XII.
  • 2. 20 Marks internal Assessment:
  • Student has to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject. Internal assessment consists of
  • (i) Periodic Test:
  • - Three Periodic Written Tests are to be conducted in each subject in an Academic Year.
  • - Each periodic test will carry 10 marks.
  • - Average of the best two tests to be taken for final marks submission.
  • - Three Periodic Tests will help student prepare for the Annual Board Examination and help teachers to keep a track of the students’ learning thoughout the year.
  • (ii) Notebook Submission:
  • This is to give weightage to student's regularity, assignment completion, neatness & upkeep of notebook.
  • -Notebook submission will hold 5 marks for Periodic Test.

  • - Subject Enrichment Activity will also add 5 marks to Periodic Test.
